Open Style Lab: Coat Designed For People Who Cant Use Their Arms

Check out this video and article from CNBC.

Open Style Lab started out as a public service project at MIT before it was converted to a non-profit. The organization partners with Parsons School of Design in New York to offer a class where student engineers, designers and occupational therapists are paired up with a client to create clothing or gadgets for their individual needs.

As technological advances become mainstream, the ability to adapt them to the specific needs of the disabled becomes apparent.

Open Style Lab aims to expand its reach by partnering with tech companies and hospitals to bring its designs to life.

By designing into the client's disability, the Open Style Lab is helping them with the ease of daily living and the opportunity to work and live independently - isn't that what we all want out of iife?
