About Us

Established in 2007 as the outgrowth of a 16 year old company that had been providing reflective trims to activewear and outerwear companies, we at SEE and BE SAFE® recognized a lack of these products specifically designed to enhance the visibility of the disabled, the elderly and users of the roadways. Working in conjunction with our Advisory Board of auto industry leaders and disability advocates we have incorporated their expertise to create reflective accessories that adhere to van windows, personal mobility devices, bumpers and deployed ramps.

Medical advances, technological improvements in wheelchairs and motorized assistance vehicles, and the aging of the Baby Boom generation have resulted in exponential growth of the number of Americans who consider themselves “disabled.” Recent U.S. Census Data estimates that 53 million Americans classify themselves as “disabled” and as the 55+ population grows, this segment will continue to increase, making the need for products that support accessibility more necessary. Reliance on assistance for mobility, however, does not lessen the desire for full participation in all aspects of life, and SEE and BE SAFE® is leading the way in support of accessibility and mobility for this growing market.

SEE and BE SAFE® has helped reduce the number of serious injuries caused by compromised visibility, and continues to work in collaboration with engineers, designers, disability advocates and safety experts to develop new ways to support universal accessibility goals  and make mobility safer for all consumers.
